SEVEN STAGES OF CONSTRUCTION YOUR SWIMMING POOL

At Norfolk Pools, we have a construction process that has been streamlined throughout our many years in the industry. This allows us to work to a seven-stage schedule without taking any short cuts.


Engineering, council approval and construction takes approximately 12 weeks, depending on the size of the project. Any additional landscaping will extend the program of your pool build.

STAGE 1 | DURATION: APPROX. 1-3 DAYS

  • Paperwork lodgement and admin of council plan approvals and engineering drawings
  • Coordinating a site meeting and arranging a date for excavation
Excavation — Brisbane, QLD — Norfolk Pools

STAGE 2 | DURATION: APPROX. 1-3 DAYS

  • Excavation of the site
  • Formwork and placement of the steel reinforcing and plumbing

STAGE 3 | DURATION: APPROX. 1-2 WEEKS

  • Pumping and spraying the concrete shell of the pool
  • C Curing process of 2-4 weeks to follow concrete spray

STAGE 4 | DURATION: APPROX. 2-10 DAYS*

  • Placement of selected tiles for your pool surrounds
  • Feature walls, retaining walls, extra paving, decking (if needed)
  • Timeframes are subject to complexity of work required*

STAGE 5 | DURATION: 1-3 DAYS

  • Installation of plumbing and filtration systems

STAGE 6 | DURATION: SUBJECT TO FINISHES

  • Installation and approval of pool fencing with qualified fence inspector
  • Installation of pool interior finishes: pebble, glass, or tiles
Pool Filtration — Brisbane, QLD — Norfolk Pools

STAGE 7 | DURATION: APPROX. 1 WEEK

  • Commissioning of filtration
  • Salt and chemicals to balance the water
